Here is a fork related bisuit recipe for you to try. Let me know how you get on.
Ingredients
250g softened butter
125g caster sugar
360g SR flour/plain flour+1tsp baking powder
Method
Beat the butter and sugar until creamy then mix in the flour using your hands to bring it all to a soft dough. Or put everything in a food processor and whizz until dough like. Roll into walnut sized balls and space well apart on baking trays lined with baking paper. You may need to bake in batches because 6 per tray is probably enough. Press a fork onto the top of each ball to flatten it. You could use your fingers but then they wouldn't be fork biscuits :)
Bake at 160c for about 15 minutes until pale golden brown. Cool for a few minutes then transfer to a wire tray to cool completely. Store in a airtight tin or jar or just eat them.
Makes about 30 depending on your understanding of the size of a walnut!
