Happy Wednesday!
You're probably wondering why I've given you two pictures of flowers this week. Well the fact is these plants have been growing in my garden for 10 years or more and neither of them has ever flowered. This year I told them quite clearly that it was flower or compost. Result!
Happy Wednesday!

Well there we go, England out of Euro 2016, Britain out of the European community, what a fallout in the two weeks since, and the washing machine's just out. Spent the last week researching its replacement, well at least my Dad has, and that is scheduled to be delivered sometime after 7.00am tomorrow. Hopefully the forecast will hold good and I might get to grips with the build up of washing. Where will it all end 'though? Fortunately there is a certainty about bread; you put in the stuff, turn on a bit of elbow grease and as long as your oven's working there is hope of a loaf. This is a lovely one that should have had chopped rosemary in it but I forgot to add that didn't I? Still it tasted just fine without it. Olive and Rosemary Bread Ingredients 250g strong flour 4g instant yeast 125g water 50g olive oil 1tbs chopped rosemary Method Mix everything except the rosemary to make a dough and work for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Rest for 1 hour. Gently work the chopped rosemary into the dough and shape into a tight sausage. Leave to rise for another 45 minutes then bake at 220C for 25-30 minutes until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. Cool on a wire rack |
