July has nearly run out but there's still time to add your favourtie bread roll picture to the challenge gallery.
What an enjoyable spell of weather, 'though it does knock your routine to pot. Spending more time in the garden than anything else, and not working in it either! Made an effort today to make Cinnamon Rolls for the July challenge. Warm, sticky and very irresistable.

A certain gentleman is out for the day and I can enjoy the satisfaction of seeing everything cool down in peace. I know I bake them to be eaten and, hopefully, enjoyed and there is a real joy in eating cookies, or anything for that matter, just out of the oven but it is also deeply rewarding to walk into the kitchen and see a cooling rack without spaces and I'm glad to be rewarded today even if it's just for a wee while! Have a good week, and remember to send me your July bread roll pictures. You can post them on our Facebook page too. Mr mac'Bread and I went out for the day today. I say 'for the day' even 'though we didn't leave 'til 10.30am and were back by 2.30pm. I had to allow him to clean gutters and play with cement when we got back to recover from the trauma of driving around for the fun of it. Still the gutters are ready for the heavy rain that will arrive one of these days and the steps to the garden, which it has to be admitted were looking the worse for wear, are now fit for the Queen to walk down. And while we were out I managed to find the assorted cheerful cushions at a reasonable price that I've been looking for to make sitting in the garden a little more comfortable for ageing bones (his not mine!) so all in all a successful day. Left today's bread dough resting quietly in the fridge while we were out. Unlike Mr mac'Bread, it seems none the worse for the experience! |
